A Wedding is a glorious occasion marked with so much excitement and often a good bit of struggle. So much time, energy, and money is put into preparing for this special day that many times couples fail to put these same resources into preparing their relationship for this monumental change. Marriage is a union unlike any other relationship on this earth. It can be so, so good to experience intimacy with another. And as statistics show, marriage can also be so terrifying and difficult that it ends in divorce.

Pre-marital Counseling is a way to put aside time and energy to work on preparing for your life together. And so, Pre-marital Counseling is a form of Wedding Planning. Our hope is to help you, as a couple, learn more about your individual stories and your collective story so that as you enter this new chapter of marriage together, you are able to do it with grace and hope.

We believe that optimal pre-marital counseling happens when their is one couple counseling another couple, which gives both a male and female perspective to relationship that is made up of both a woman and a man. Consequently, we (Caleb and Elisa) like to counsel pre-marital couples together. As you wrestle with the excitement, joys, fears, and hopes of what your marriage can look like, it can be helpful to have both voices and perspectives from each gender.

We will work together to structure a format that works for you, regardless of if you are in the pre-engagement stage or if your wedding is just around the corner. You have the option of paying for a package of sessions over the course of your engagement or you can come and pay for individual sessions.

Don’t have a pastor of someone to preform your wedding? Both Caleb and Elisa have spoken at weddings of their premarital clients and Caleb is licensed to officiate weddings. Fees can be discussed if interested.
